Craniosacral Fascial Therapy:  Craniosacral Fascial Therapy (CFT) works with your body's fascial system, an overlooked yet critical component to optimizing health and wellness. CFT unwinds your fascia, allowing healthy flow, and releasing trapped trauma, toxic tissue, and tight bodies. The gentle techniques of CFT can help adults unwind tight fascia and release years of strain. CFT clients can often find lasting relief from migraines, sinus conditions, neck and back pain, sleep issues, and other common conditions.

Myofascial Release:  Myofascial Release is a safe and very effective hands-on technique that involves applying gentle sustained pressure into the Myofascial connective tissue restrictions to eliminate pain and restore motion.

Reflex Integration:  Primitive reflexes are present at birth and typically remain active until the age of 6-12 months. ... If a reflex is not integrated beyond 12 months of age, there is an indication of immature central nervous system development. Non-integrated reflexes impact the fluidity and smoothness with which an individual movesReflex integration is about using Neurodevelopmental Movement and other tools to develop and mature the body's reflexes for optimal functioning.

NeuroLinks (NIS):  NeuroLinks combines Western Medicine, Eastern Medicine, and Chiropractic work. It involves a series of touch points on the body to allow all the systems of the body to communicate with each other and with the brain. When the body systems and the brain are communicating efficiently the the body is able to heal itself faster.

TREATMENTS

Elaine Behnke has a Masters of Science degree in Physical Therapy and is a Certified Lactation Counselor. She has over 20 years of experience working with infants, typically developing children, and children with special needs. She also performs integrative bodywork on adults.

Elaine prides herself on assessing the body as a whole and not just treating the symptoms. She believes that everything in the body is connected, and with some guidance from a skilled integrative practitioner, the body has the ability to help heal itself.

Elaine has helped many breastfeeding babies and mothers with improving the latch at breast so that the infant can get a functional feed without pain for the mother. Elaine uses Craniosacral Fascial Therapy to address tight fascial tissues throughout the infant’s body that may be affecting the latch. This is especially beneficial prior to and following a tongue tie release.

Elaine has also used these techniques to treat children and adults with tethered oral ties, TMJ issues,  headaches, and chronic pain. These same techniques have been used to treat children with special needs to gently improve their range of motion in order for them to perform functional tasks more efficiently.

Elaine’s method of treatment is “Go with the Flow”. She listens and guides the body to move into the motion of ease, then as a result, the body will open into the more difficult areas. She follows up her treatment with functional exercises that will help maintain the new movement that was gained.
